The landing is the basic equipment of a student room, replacing other furniture. To be exact, rather, it is about two self-made platforms of different heights. Pedestal, in which the bed is hidden, placed in the left corner of the room. During the day it turns into a cozy place to sit, lined with cushions and pillows. There is a fixed plinth on the side of the wall, also serving as a shelf or shelf for put away items. When preparing for bed, clean the pillows and lift both large cover plates - uncovering the mattresses with the bedding. The bed has dimensions 140 x 200 cm.
The residential landing starts right next to the landing with the bed and completely covers the area between the end wall and the side wall of the room. The front edge of the habitable landing extends into the room at an angle 15 degrees, which gives the whole a very original character. We treat the dimension of the platform with the bed as a constant value, while the shape and size of the residential landing depends on the size of the room. The right angles of the residential plinth were used for the work area, its cover is permanently connected to the supporting structure. Thanks to the removable cover, the place under the platform can be used as a storage space; such a solution is very practical. Cover for the residential platform, made of chipboard with a thickness 19 mm, cut as a rectangular element, and the rear edge (or the side edge of the work corner) in place is adjusted to the slant 15 degrees. We attach a supporting structure made of chipboard strips with a thickness to the walls 19 m. Double-walled reinforcement and partition walls conform to the supporting structure from the rear, from the front to the cover. If that's not enough, a steel square can help.
The structure of the carpet, which we glued on the platform covers, allows you to trim it in any direction, without leaving any unsightly fringes – this enables the implementation of various variants of its arrangement. The carpet we use consists of 80 percent of goat hair, w 20 wool percentages.
