Hedge plants
Numerous species of trees and shrubs, which in natural conditions reach large sizes, when properly trimmed, they do not exceed a height of two meters. They are mainly field maple (country maple), hornbeam (Car pinus betulus), common beech (Fagus syphoatica), dogwood (Cornus) and single-necked hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna). Conifers are also suitable for medium or tall hedges. The most important species are Norway spruce (Picea abies), Douglas fir green (Pseudotsuga men-ziesii), Lawson's cypress (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana), western and giant thuja ( Thuja occidentalis i T. folded) and the common yew (Remember the bag). Besides the mentioned, there are many other species of ornamental shrubs, which also endure a strong cut. These are mainly different species and varieties of the ligust. Among them, privet privet var. dark green (Common privet Antrovirens), which keeps its leaves dark until February, and which can even be classified as an evergreen variety. A typical evergreen species is the ovophyllous privet (L. ovalifolium), although at very low temperatures the bushes may freeze, but they will bring forth new shoots again in the spring.
Tall species and varieties of firethorn are also suitable for hedges of 1-2 m high (Pyracantha) and barberry (Barberry) and holly (llex) honeysuckle and honeysuckle (Lonicera tartar and L. xylosteum), as well as dogwood (Bloody horns).
Such a high hedge effectively protects our garden from the road. A lower hedge is enough to separate yourself from a neighbor or a road in a compact housing estate type (0.5-1.2 m high) with flowering shrubs. Thunberg's low-growing barberry is suitable for cutting (Berberis thunbergii) and its red-leaved varieties. Other species suitable for such hedges are listed in the table.
It is worth recommending different types of irgi, jak Cotoneaster acutifolius, C. bullied, C. Dielsianus i C. divaricatus, beautifully blooming dogwood, different varieties of ligusters (especially Lodense). Of the other evergreen shrubs, Julianna's mahogany and barberry deserve attention. Eastern laurel and whites look beautiful, flowers erect like candles, and firefly, about shiny, red fruits. The abundant flowering of the firewood bushes can be maintained thanks to a slightly weaker pruning than the other shrubs. Different species of tawula also require moderate pruning. Shrubs of red-flowering small tawuła (Spiraea x butna Ida) should be cut immediately after flowering, thanks to which they will create new ones, strong shoots. Shrubs of Spiraea x arguta and S.. x vanhouttei, which abundantly, white in bloom, you just need to x-ray and lead it in free form.
